Terms of Use
Effective date: 17 October 2026
These terms apply to the Maxairi game (the "Game") made by Niko ("we"). By downloading or playing the Game you agree to them. If you got the Game from Apple's App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.
1. Safety: a game, not training
- Maxairi is entertainment. Its physics are simplified, and nothing in it is instruction in real knife or axe throwing.
- Real throwing should be learned only from qualified instructors, at a proper range, with proper equipment and supervision, and only where the law allows it.
- Never throw anything at people, animals or property. The silhouette targets in the game are cardboard training targets.
- The Game is rated 13+. A parent or guardian should decide whether it suits a younger player.
2. Licence
We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the Game on devices you own or control. You may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer or redistribute it, except as the law allows.
3. Purchases and refunds
The full-game unlock is a one-time purchase made through Apple or Google. Refunds are handled by the store you bought from, under its refund policy. A purchase can be restored on other devices signed in to the same store account, using "Restore purchase" in the Game's menu.
4. Your content
Studio layouts you create stay on your device. You are responsible for anything you choose to share from the Game.
5. No warranty
The Game is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't promise it will be error-free or always available.
6. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from using the Game, or for any injury or damage caused by attempting real-world throwing. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Game. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.
7. Credits
Maxairi uses Three.js (MIT licence) and the fonts Big Shoulders Display, Barlow and JetBrains Mono (SIL Open Font Licence 1.1). Tournament rules are simplified from the EuroThrowers European Standard Rules (2019). All names and specs of throwables in the Game are generic game specs and are not real products.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
9. Changes and contact
We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page. Contact: nikosappstudio+maxairi@gmail.com.
